Coaching with the Enneagram
The Enneagram is an invaluable tool used to assist coaching and personal development. It provides a unique insight into personality types and how that impacts on the performance of individuals, teams and organisations.
Merlene Nieuwoudt is an accredited Enneagram practitioner having also studied under Claudio Naranjo, Paris in addition to being a certified Integral certified coach accredited with the ICF, the largest global coach accrediting body, who has approved the Enneagram in business coaching programs.
What distinguishes the Enneagram from most other personality profiling tools is that it is expansive, dynamic and profound, providing brilliant insights and opportunities for personal growth and development, as well as endless practical applications for improved professional and personal relationships, for uncovering one’s real vocation for career development and team-building, among other areas. Whilst many personality profiling approaches can be static and reductive, the Enneagram is positively transformative if used as a coaching and development framework.
Rather that simply defining one’s personality and that of team members in a rather flat, one-dimensional way, the Enneagram provides the base for a practical development plan on how you can become your best, healthiest, most successful, inspired and fulfilled self.
As a certified Enneagram practitioner, Merlene uses the Enneagram to help you answer questions such as “Why do I do the things I do?” or “How can I have more meaningful relationships?” or “How can I achieve better results in my work?”. Working with the Enneagram will help you know yourself and develop self awareness.
The Enneagram offers profound understanding and awareness on nine different ways in terms of how people think, act and feel. Reports can be used in support of coaching in the development and structuring of a coaching program; to assist in the development of emotional intelligence as well as leadership capabilities.
